"Pathetic."

The words were sneered from stone lips as a razor sharp black sword was twisted deeper.

"You know, it was pretty stupid of you to call me a pirate, but really, I thought after that fit you threw when I took your little girlfriend out you'd be a bit more of a fight than this."

Climber let out a choked yelp. Sure, he couldn't feel the thing, but having a cutlass plunged through your abdomen was never pleasant. Mud brown eyes squeezed shut, what remained of the mannequin's body shuddering.

"Oh, come now, Fluffball, stay with me. This is the best part!" There was a hollow noise as stone fingers rapped against Climber's cracked helmet. The mannequin slowly opened one eye, gazing wearily at his tormentor.

Karl's face spread into a smile that would have been pleasant had Climber not known better by this point. "Ah, there we go, glad to see you're still conscious!" He chirped. "I was afraid I was going to have to do something drastic to keep you awake, and really, where's the fun in that?"

Climber's eyes narrowed. "Y-you... you hurt Clarice!" He cried, struggling weakly. He was having some trouble, considering he currently lacked both arms and legs.

"Did I?" Karl's eyes widened in surprise and he pressed his free hand against his face. "No, no, you must have something wrong, my dear boy! I would -never- hurt a sweet, innocent little girl! Only a terrible psychopath would do something like that!" He drew his hand away and glanced at it, blinking, then smirked. "My my, how do you suppose that got there?" He asked cheerily, flashing a crimson-stained palm at the mannequin.

It was Clarice's blood, of course. It was splattered all over the statue's face and clothes.

"Stop that!" Climber cried, squeezing his eyes shut. He didn't want to see, he didn't want to see! He was supposed to protect her, he was supposed to be useful! He wasn't supposed to let her get hurt!

"Aww, what's wrong? Scared of a bit of blood?" Karl's face twisted into a grin, the shadows lengthening across his scarred face. "Pathetic."

Brown eyes opened once more as Climber struggled. "I-I'm not pathetic! I'm useful! L-let me go!"

Karl blinked at him for a moment, then shrugged. "Fine, be a party pooper." With that, he pulled back the dark sword, sending Climber collapsing to the ground in a pile of fluff.

"A-ah!" Climber yelped as he landed, then gazed up warily at the statue. "W-wait, what are you doing?"

"Hmm... I'm feeling up to playing the violin, actually," Karl drawled lazily as he glanced around, twirling his sword in the air. In a blur of darkness the blade had transformed into a black crow, whom gazed at Karl with beady red eyes. The statue blinked at it for a moment, then smirked as the crow fluttered to his shoulder.

"Oh yes, you're right Arma. I almost forgot..." He murmured as he glanced over at the crumpled form several feet away on the ground. Red hair obscured the girl's unconscious face, blood congealing on a familiar cyan shirt.

Climber's eyes widened. "Clarice!" He cried.

"Oh, stop your whining, she's not dead... -yet-." Karl chuckled as he turned towards the unconscious girl.

"No! Don't touch her!" Climber screamed, wobbling precariously against the wall he was propped up on.

"And what are you going to do to stop me, Stumpy?" The statue pointed out as he took a step towards the girl.

"I-I... I don't know... but... but... you can't hurt Clarice! You can't! She's the most wonderful person in the whole wide world! Don't hurt her, don't! Please! Please, please don't!" Climber shouted, his voice growing more and more desperate as he ranted, finally dipping into broken pleading.

Karl paused at this. "Please?" He thew back his head and outright laughed at this, his shoulder's shaking. "Pathetic. Don't you see? There's nothing you can do. And that's the best part, don't you know?" At these words he glanced back at Climber, stony eyes meeting wide mud brown. "The part where you realize there's nothing you can do. The part where you realize you're -nothing-. The part where you realize you're completely and utterly useless to her, to everyone... that's the best part."

If he had a heart, Climber was sure it would have stopped at that moment. "No... no..."

The blond shook his head again, then turned back towards Clarice. "Say, Arma... can you help me with a little experiment?"

At these words the bird promptly flew to his hand, transforming into a gleaming black scythe. Karl chuckled as he took a step towards the girl, bright coat swirling behind him.

"No, no, don't hurt her! Don't! STOP!" Climber screamed.

"Let's see if it's possible to make a mannequin cry, alright?"

Right, soo... long time no upload, eh? And of course the first picture I upload is fanart of something most of you probably don't even know, whoo!

Right, well, these are

's characters, Climber (the guy missing a limb or four) annnd Karl (the psycho with the sword who definitely isn't a pirate). They are full of epic win. Climber is a living mannequin who wields a pick-axe and is generally adorable and innocent and naive and just wants to be useful to people. He follows a girl named Clarice wherever she goes because she rescued him after he was thrown out. Karl is a living statue and generally hates everything and is one of those friendly, polite, happy neighborhood psychopaths. That black sword of his is actually his companion, a shapeshifting crow statue named Arma.

They're both from his series Castle of Nations... which he hasn't actually drawn, but both characters have been entered in OC tournaments and he does all of his fights in AMAZING AWESOME FLASH AND... yeah, it's awesome. I find it really impressive that he's able to make people love his characters so much without actually showing us very much of them. It's very nice. Seriously, go check it out.

So anyway, why draw this? Well... although he's never actually drawn the characters meeting, they're both from the same series and are essentially exact opposites. Climber loves people, is innocent and adorable, and hates pirates because they lie. Karl... hates people, is a terrible person, annnd will probably kill you if you suggest he is a pirate, although admittedly he does lie about everything. COINCIDENCE? I THINK NOT!

Sooo I decided to draw what I think happens when they meet up. Basically, someone (probably Climber) called Karl a pirate, there was much fighting, Karl knocked Clarice out and tore Climber limb from limb. Annnd now he's off to kill Clarice... now see, what's missing is the part after what I wrote, where Climber snaps and totally kicks Karl's butt EVEN WITHOUT LIMBS. Yeah, Climber is awesome like that.

...So... yeah. Hopefully I did an okay job drawing them and writing them. Karl might have come off a bit too stereotypical and a bit too cruel... then again, cruel is his style. Unknown, if you see this I am so sorry for any mutilations of your characters. DX I know writing them is your job buuut it was in my head and I had to do it.

Soo... comments would be greatly appreciated! It was only a quick CG but I had fun doing it soo... yes. Also I apologize for the not-so-grand 30-seconds to draw background.
